Hello and welcome to my bio.

The four areas of expertise in which I primarily work are Trauma Release (Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories aka, RTM), Grief Resolution, Anxiety Release, and Leadership Coaching. The common thread that holds these specialties is a sense of my purpose on this planet, that is, to assist people in making the difference they want in their life. Of course, I wanted this for myself too, and that led me to my background in Psychology, Training and Organizational Design Development. Working as a consultant and coach to managers from front line up to executives for organizations like the Navy, US Treasury and the IRS (yes, I said IRS) opened my eyes to discover the problems people experience were based not so much on the job, but rather on their life experiences impacting their job, relationships, and family. My curiosity grew and so did my education. I earned my NLP Master Practitioner, Health Practitioner, and several additional Coaching Certifications, as well as, certification in Solution Focused  Brief Therapy (SFBT) Level ll. Coupling these with certifications in Hypnosis, Ask and Receive, Havening, EFT, Trauma Tapping, well, you get the idea, Im into making a difference and helping others do the same so they can and do alleviate pain resourcefully, and have fulfilling life experiences.

My clients experience success. Knowing there is a story behind every success, here are some of transformations made with Havening by the brave hearted.

  1. A woman facing cancer surgery immediately after experiencing the death of her mother shifted feelings of aloneness and terror into relaxations and freedom from negative ruminating. She started the process in serious distress and was deeply comfortable and comforted by the end. She later reported sleeping well and facing the surgery resourcefully.
  2. A thoughtless comment creating the negative belief that her face was flawed led to years of  discomfort, and poor self-consciousness.  That belief shifted to an entirely new perspective where the she was able to physically see her features differently in a mirror. She looked in the mirror and said, “ My face looks different!”
  3. Feelings of frustration and anger over a recurring family dynamic shifted to no longer having the situation cause stress and frustration.  Following up my client reported the situation still occurred but it no longer hooked him or caused him any upset.  He said, Im ok.”
  4. A person who had been stabbed in a grocery and fearful of going into public places where they might encounter a lot of people shifted to being able to attend the Boston Marathon.
  5. And more…

My specialties are grief and trauma which come in a variety of forms and intensity. Havening, NLP, SFBT and coaching practices and principles are the foundation for the change work in my practice. This means starting with an outcome, removing barriers, then identifying and integrating resources.  The modality I use is the one most effective for you to achieve your outcome.

My clients know there is inner work to do to have the life they want, Im here to assist you in that process with 30 years of experience. Call me for a discovery chat and see if we are a fit.

Medical Trauma

I contacted Vicky to help me with the legacy of my childhood medical trauma, which had been recently activated because of specific health concerns.  I had planned to do EMDR, but had recently heard of RTM and the success clinicians were having with veterans using this method, which also seemed "kinder and gentler" than EMDR.  As a clinical psychologist myself, I was impressed with the science behind it so I went on to the RTM site and found Vicky's name as a certified practitioner, which I knew meant that she had been well-trained in the method.

I found Vicky to be very competent and professional, but equally important, I found her to be very warm, open and an empathic listener.  Meaning, I felt very heard and that I was in  good hands.  I saw her for approximately five sessions and the results were very good. I feel armed with skills that I was taught and will likely need them in the future since medical issues, as we age, are just part of the human condition.  I would recommend her heartily and will see her again in the future if the need arises.
